Alone
by Carrie Cahill
Shes weak
As she falls into
The cold bathroom floor
The tile imbedded into her skin
Creating a checkerboard pattern
On her naked body
She's content to lie still
And let her dreams overlap
Her thoughts
The simple happiness of being
Which escapes most
Has stopped her tears
Which were puddling around her
And alone she faces life
And alone she's at peace
